Group Trip — Participation Agreement

A private group trip organized for family and friends — not a public product, a bank, a savings account, or an investment.

1What this is

Road to 2030 is a private group trip to the 2030 FIFA World Cup that the Organizer is putting together for a small circle of family and friends. You reserve your spot on the trip and pay for it in small weekly installments between now and the tournament, so it's fully covered by the time we go. This is not a savings account or a public product — it's a group trip among people who know each other.

2How payments work

• You choose a weekly installment (any amount you like, default $50/week) that goes toward your share of the trip cost.
• Installments are charged automatically through Stripe, by bank transfer (ACH) or debit/credit card, until the trip is paid off.
• Everything you pay is tracked to the cent on your private dashboard, so you always know exactly where your spot stands.

3What the Organizer handles

The Organizer coordinates and books the group's trip — flights, a place to stay, and match tickets — and uses participants' installments toward those trip costs. You don't have to arrange any of the logistics; that's the point of doing it as a group.

4Changing or pausing

You can change your weekly installment, pause, or resume at any time from your dashboard or by telling the Organizer. No penalties.

5Cancellation & refunds

• Cancel anytime. If you decide not to come, you can cancel from your dashboard or by contacting the Organizer.
• Before anything is booked on your behalf (which will be the case for a long time, given the trip is years out), you're refunded everything you've paid.
• Once travel is booked (flights, lodging, tickets), you're refunded what you've paid minus any non-recoverable costs already committed for your spot — the same way any trip deposit works.
• Refunds are returned to you within a reasonable time, generally within 10 business days.

6Fees

Paying by bank (ACH) is essentially free — the Organizer absorbs the tiny processing cost. If you pay by card, you cover your card's processing fee (about 3%), so your full intended installment still goes toward your spot. The Organizer takes no markup and makes no profit — you're simply paying trip cost, spread over time.

8Your info & privacy

Each participant gets a private dashboard showing exactly what they've paid toward their spot. Amounts are private — other participants only ever see who's coming (a first-name/family roster), never anyone's payment details.

9If the trip can't happen

If the trip can't go ahead for any reason, participants are refunded what they've paid, minus any non-recoverable costs already committed on their behalf. The Organizer will communicate clearly and promptly if plans change.

10Honest notes

• This is a friendly arrangement among people who know each other — organized in good faith, not a commercial travel agency.
• It's limited to a private circle of family and friends and isn't open to the public.
• Big events and travel plans can shift years out; the Organizer will keep everyone informed as details firm up.
