Consulting Audit · July 2026
The website is in better shape than most solo-practitioner sites — it ranks on page 1 for nearly every core local search, the copy is genuinely persuasive, and online booking is wired end-to-end. The gaps live around it: no analytics, no discoverable Google Business Profile under the lymphatic brand, near-zero visible reviews while competitors sit at 110–131, and a legacy sister domain splitting the local identity. But the defining fact of this business is that Sara is fully booked, and Sara is the product. That changes the strategy: the goal is not more demand — it's earning more per hour, converting deep demand into pricing power and selectivity, and then adding capacity that isn't her hands. The report is sequenced accordingly.
Grades reflect a hands-on crawl of all nine pages, header/redirect/sitemap inspection, payload measurement, and a live competitive search sweep on July 7, 2026.
Worth stating before the findings, because the strategy should protect these assets:
Platform: Showit (designer-built, hosted). Fast enough — full page ≈1.5 MB, sub-second server response — but the platform imposes some ceilings noted below.
| Severity | Finding | Fix |
|---|---|---|
| Critical | No structured data anywhere. Zero JSON-LD or microdata. Google can't machine-read the business name, address, hours, services, prices, or the nine on-site testimonials. | Add HealthAndBeautyBusiness/LocalBusiness JSON-LD (name, NAP, geo, hours, priceRange, sameAs→Instagram/GBP) site-wide, plus FAQPage schema on the homepage FAQ and Service schema on /services. Showit supports custom head code. |
| High | robots.txt is broken. Returns a styled 404 HTML page instead of a robots file or a plain 404. | Serve a minimal robots.txt allowing all and declaring Sitemap: https://temeculalymphatictherapy.com/sitemap.xml. |
| High | Sister domain serves a full mirror. temeculamassagetherapy.com returns the identical site (canonical tag correctly points to the primary, so no duplicate-content penalty — but it dilutes brand identity, and its stale indexed pages still rank under the old "Massage Therapy for Women & Athletes" branding). | 301-redirect the entire legacy domain to the primary, page-to-page where equivalents exist. Keeps its residual link equity and clears the stale index over time. |
| High | 14 of 15 homepage images have empty alt text. Repeats on interior pages. Hurts image search, accessibility, and ADA exposure — ironic given the site has an /ada-compliance page. | Write descriptive, keyword-aware alt text for every meaningful image ("Sara Hartman performing manual lymphatic drainage on a post-surgical client, Temecula studio"). |
| Medium | Sitemap is minimal. Nine URLs, no <lastmod>, and it includes boilerplate pages (privacy, terms, ADA) at equal priority. | Low effort, low urgency on Showit; becomes relevant when content pages are added. |
| Medium | Legacy JS stack. jQuery 3.5.1 + animate.css 3.4 (2015) + Showit engine load render-blocking; one hero PNG is 384 KB where a WebP would be ~40 KB. | Platform-constrained. Re-export the two heaviest PNGs as JPEG/WebP inside Showit; skip the rest. |
| Medium | Open Graph is incomplete. Only og:image (the logo) is set — no og:title, og:description, og:type. Shared links render poorly on Instagram DMs/Facebook, which is where this clientele shares. | Add full OG + Twitter card tags per page; use a treatment-room photo, not the logo, as the share image. |
| Pass | Unique titles and meta descriptions on every page, correct canonicals, clean https/www redirects, mobile viewport set, HTTP/2, sub-second TTFB. | |
For a local service business, the map pack and review profiles decide more bookings than the website does. This is where the audit found the most value sitting on the table:
Finding 3.1 — The brand is invisible where locals actually look
No Google Business Profile or Yelp listing under "Temecula Lymphatic Therapy" surfaced in any search. The only Yelp presence found is under the legacy brand "Temecula Massage Therapy" — with an old address (Diamond Lash Beauty Lounge, 92590) that conflicts with the current studio (43950 Margarita Rd, 92592). Meanwhile the two most-reviewed competitors in the niche hold 110 Yelp reviews (Feel Better Integrative Wellness) and 131 Fresha reviews at 5.0★ (AM Holistic Wellness). A searcher comparing options sees them, not this practice.
Live search sweep, July 7, 2026 — Temecula/Murrieta/Menifee market.
| Competitor | Model | Position / threat | Proof points |
|---|---|---|---|
| Wrthit (Monica Skalsky) wrthit.com | Mobile / in-home, Temecula→OC | The SEO aggressor. City pages, service pages, and a blog frequently holding 3–5 of 10 organic slots; near-monopoly on "Brazilian lymphatic" queries. | Post-op MLD, body sculpting, courses, payment plans; prices unpublished |
| Feel Better Integrative Wellness feelbetter.me | Studio, Temecula Pkwy | The reputation leader. Strongest Yelp presence in the niche; positions as tech-forward clinic (electro-lymphatic, PEMF, infrared). | 110 Yelp reviews, 41 photos; CLT-certified |
| AM Holistic Wellness via Fresha, Murrieta | Budget studio | The price anchor. Lymphatic from $40 — pressures the $120 wellness tier, not the post-op specialty. | 5.0★, 131 Fresha reviews |
| Blys getblys.com | Mobile marketplace | Category-shaper: makes "comes to you, 7 days, 6am–midnight" a patient expectation for post-op care. | 60 min from $139 + 10% fee |
| Balance and Bliss (Murrieta) · Integrative Wellness & Massage (Murrieta) · Dawnn Russell HHP ($125) · Ruqayyah & Co (TMJ niche) | Solo studios | Fragmented peers; none out-credential the client. | Modest web presence, prices $95–160 |
| Med-spa adjacents BFF Medical, Sculpt & Lift, Beauty By Design, Renova Spa | Lymphatic as add-on | Compete for body-contouring intent, not clinical MLD. | — |
Pricing read
Post-op at $170 is well-positioned: top of local market, in line with OC specialists ($150–200), justified by certification and surgeon referrals — do not discount it. The $120 wellness tier is the exposed flank against $40–125 alternatives; sell it through the $125/mo membership (retention) rather than competing per-session on price.
| Severity | Finding | Fix |
|---|---|---|
| Critical | No analytics of any kind. No GA4, no Meta Pixel, no call tracking. Ad spend, Instagram effort, and SEO wins are all unmeasurable. | Install GA4 + Meta Pixel via Showit's head-code slot; enable Jane App's booking conversion tracking; use a trackable tel: link. |
| High | Phone number appears only on /contact and /medical-referrals — and never as a tap-to-call tel: link. Post-op patients (and the 55+ wellness demographic) call. | Put (760) 936-6849 as a clickable link in the site-wide header/footer. |
| High | New-client messaging conflicts: the contact page leads with "Schedule Your Free Consultation" then immediately says "not accepting new massage clients." The disclaimer is about legacy massage, but a skimming new lymphatic client can read it as "not taking clients." | Rewrite: "Now booking lymphatic therapy & body contouring. (Traditional massage is referral-only.)" |
| Medium | Instagram is the only social proof channel linked, and testimonials carry no photos or review-platform attribution. | Once GBP is live, link it; badge testimonials ("via Google") as reviews accrue. |
| Medium | No lead capture for not-ready-yet visitors. Post-op research happens weeks before surgery; there is nothing to catch that visitor except a booking link. | Offer a "Post-Surgery Recovery Timeline" PDF for an email address; drip via simple automation. (Also the seed of a pre-op surgeon-referral funnel.) |
Sara's book is full and she is currently turning clients away. For a solo practice that is not a marketing problem to solve — it is leverage to spend. Four moves, in order:
The capacity math (illustrative)
A hands-on solo therapist sustainably delivers roughly 22–27 treatment hours per week before quality and her own body pay for it. At the current mix (≈$170 post-op / $120 wellness), that puts the gross ceiling around $16–19K/month (~$200–230K/yr) — and it is a hard ceiling, because the constraint is Sara's hours, not demand. Every recommendation below either raises revenue per hour or adds hours that aren't hers.
Why the local-SEO and referral work in Sections 3–6 still matters at full capacity: deep, visible demand (map-pack presence, 50+ reviews, a formal surgeon channel) is what gives a full practice pricing power, a high-quality waitlist, and — critically — a book of demand ready to hand to a second therapist on day one. It's the pre-work for Section 8.
If the ambition is a business rather than a well-paid job, the ceiling only moves when revenue stops requiring Sara's hands. The realistic paths, roughly in order of capital required:
What scaling actually requires
None of these paths fail on demand — Sections 1–4 show demand is proven and defensible. They fail on the non-therapy half of the business: hiring and payroll, scheduling and utilization management, marketing systems, review and referral engines, analytics, and financial modeling. That operational layer is a different skill set from clinical excellence, and it's the half a partner or operator would own. The 90-day roadmap below builds its foundation either way.
The one-sentence version
This is a fully-booked specialist practice priced below its own scarcity: raise the rate, restructure the mix toward the highest-value hours, convert the turn-away demand into a managed waitlist backed by a real Google/review presence — and then use that proven excess demand to underwrite the first hire, which is the moment this stops being a job and becomes a business.
